Pastor Christopher Alexander Platt is the Senior Pastor of New Beginnings Church of Christ, in Virginia Beach, Virginia. He completed his secondary education in Virginia Beach City Public Schools before enlisting in the United States Army in 1993. After being honorably discharged in 1996, he earned an Associate’s degree in Computer Electronics and Networking. Pastor Platt became an entrepreneur with a flourishing business in 2005. Along with a successful business, Pastor Platt also has a wonderful family. He married First Lady Karyn Platt in 1994 and has been blessed with three children Krystin, Aaron, Mia, one daughter in love, Brianna and his first granddaughter, Raelynn.
Pastor Platt believes in the importance of being a diligent servant of God and God’s people. He faithfully served under the leadership of Pastor James E. Carlton for twenty-three years as Minister of Worship, Musician, Treasurer, Trustee, Deacon, and Vacation Bible School Adult Teacher. Although he was formally appointed Senior Pastor in July of 2020, Pastor Platt has always displayed a love for God, His Word and His people. The goal of his ministry is to spread the Word of God to the masses, while carefully watching over and equipping the many souls God has placed in his care for the work of the ministry. He encourages others to believe in and follow Jesus as Lord and Savior, so that we all may see Jesus in peace when He returns.
